What’s More Important Than Wealth? Your Health!

Health and wealth are possibly the two most important assets you can have. If you have great health you are incredibly ‘wealthy’ and if you are incredibly wealthy yet do not have great ‘health’ then you are not ‘wealthy’ at all.

Every day I read articles which mention the mental health issues experienced by either top male sportspeople or male celebrities. Some of the words used in the reports are “feels lost”, “personal issues to face”, “I didn’t know how to handle it”, “emotional collapse”, “it felt like I was in a dark hole”, “festering away in my head” and so on.

You can be successful at what you do, have a thriving business, have all the toys and appear ‘wealthy’ and yet if you struggle with an overactive mind that you can’t master and a body that isn’t calm, then your health and wealth is at risk.

As a Men’s Anxiety Coach I support ordinary, everyday males in business to take charge of their thoughts so they can calm their body and master their mind. And everyday I’m more aware of how important it is for guys to make inroads into their ‘mental stress’ as soon as they become aware of it.

Is it still part of the male mindset or psyche that believes it’s unmanly to admit to not knowing how to handle challenging issues either at work or within personal lives? In my experience, the sooner a guy acknowledges that he has some things to attend to and puts his hand up for support, the sooner he gets back on track.

Where’s the weakness in that?
